Sweet and Sour: Libra New Moon, 9/28/2019
Sweet and sour… a juicy blackberry that’s just starting to spoil… a cool vintage mirror with a permanent varnish smear. Every rose indeed has its thorns, and some of the most beautifully colored creatures in the world are also the most venomous.
We have a lovely Libra new moon renewing itself tomorrow, September 28th. The Libra New Moon invites us to gather, exchange words and engage in relationship to one another. Libra is an air sign, so beauty is conceptual— it’s creating an aesthetic, or witnessing the complex yet natural interweaving of our lives. Libra season reminds us that we need our people. And especially now— Venus squares of with the Capricorn malefics (Saturn and Pluto), which gives a stark contrast to the desired Libran harmony, but hey, Libra knows that life is about balance.
On a personal note, my birthday is this weekend, and I am very grateful for all the beauty in my life. For my birthday, I decided that all I wanted to do was host a dinner party for my local astrology colleagues. I’ve had this beautiful vision of the perfect dinner, and setting the scene for hours of inspiring conversation, laughter and community. I hope this will be the first of many. On the sour note, I’ve also just learned that I only have a short amount of time with my cat left... Right now, I’m trying to find the balance of celebration and quiet, to be present during this time of transition. Fall is a season of falling away, I just didn’t expect this so soon... 🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂
How is this contrast of beauty and pain showing up in your life? Where are you being asked to make difficult choices in order to create more beauty in your life? Are any of your relationships feeling the squeeze and pressure to level up? I’d love to hear how this Libra new moon is showing up in your life. Drop me a comment below or send me an email.
Lots of love, Catherine
