This Month we will Decipher Jupiter’s Gemini Journey

Are you ready for some FRESH AIR? Daddy Jupiter moves from velvety Taurus into brainy Gemini on May 25th, 2024, emphasizing a whole new set of themes in the collective - and in our own natal charts by transit.

Perhaps two of the most defining adjuncts to this transit will be Jupiter’s opening trine with Pluto in Aquarius and Jupiter’s prolonged square with Saturn in Pisces. The last time we saw this square was in 2016 while Jupiter was in Virgo (another Mercury-ruled sign) and Saturn was in Sagittarius (another Jupiter-ruled sign). We were also in an election year at the time. Weird. But definitely not “fake news,” a term popularized during the previous Jupiter-Saturn square.

Outposts in the Sky: Beginner’s Guide to the Lunar Mansions 

The lunar mansions are a separate but connected zodiac which is tied to the motion of the Moon. These ancient constructs have endeared themselves to several cultures worldwide and continue to captivate many today. Here we explore the history and likely transmission of the lunar mansions as well as their meanings and utilization in astrology today and how they have become instrumental in those seeking to utilize astrology for magic. 

Ryhan Butler is a practicing astrologer based in the Dallas area. He has studied classical astrological techniques with an emphasis on the medieval era since 2009 and has lectured locally and as a part of national conferences working to spread the techniques of medieval astrology to those who would otherwise not encounter them or may not immediately see their value. Ryhan has served on the board of a local astrological group, the Astrological Society of North Texas, from 2016-2018 and also served on the international Association for Astrological Networking from 2014-2018.

April’s Cauldron concoction features Catherine’s return from maternity leave, and an opportunity for us to catch up on all the major planetary shifts that March ushered in - including Pluto’s Aquarius Ingress and Saturn’s Pisces ingress. You're in luck! Decans provide a framework for thinking more archetypically about the journey through the zodiac. In this discussion we will explore the symbolism of the decans, their utility in astrology, and crossover applications with tarot.

Mo Olufemi is an American astrologer currently based in Toronto, Canada. She has been a practicing astrologer since 2018. She specializes in Hellenistic and Medieval astrology, focusing heavily on Solar Revolutions, Profections, and related timing techniques. She is passionate about teaching people about the various applications of the smaller subdivisions of the zodiac.
