Aquarius Full Moon 8/22, 29°37’, 8:01 am ET
Indeed, we have a second Full Moon in Aquarius. With so much celestial activity in this zodiac sign, the cosmos are certainly calling our collection attention to the archeytpe of Aquarius. Indeed, between Saturn, Jupiter and now a double full moon, we are being called to pay attention to the messages of the water-bearer. Recalling our first Full Moon in Aquarius on 7/23 at 1° Aquarius, I’ve noticed a distinctive criticism of “hyper-individualism” (a nod toward the Leo polarity) during a time which feels so critical for humanity to come together. The Leo-Aquarius axis points to visibility and inclusion - feeling seen or feeling like an outsider. Both ends of our axis express individualed uniqueness, however, it’s a manner of whose individuality feels celebrated, welcomed or cherished. While Leo relished in the affirmation of an audience, Aquarius as grown resilient - comfortable with distance. Aquarius has learned how to be a part of the group anyway - without attachment to being beloved. They find their place in the crowd by continuing to show up without expectation. The Aquarius Full Moon celebrates the ability to show up without the need to be thanked. It’s really not about us right now, but a myriad of larger equations of which we play a part.
The Aquarius Full Moon conjoins Jupiter, a planet of hope, optimism and generosity. Give of yourself generously to the cause - whatever your cause may be. Have faith in the possibilities born of hands joined together. The Moon occupies the anaretic degree of Aquarius, drumming up an intensified urgency toward collective issues. Opposite the Moon, the Sun in its Leo domicile equally shares the anaretic degree, polarizing an equally strong desire to feel seen. The Sun conjoins Regulus, fixed star of royalty, victory, triumph, success and honors. Regulus, it should be noted is technically located at 00°Virgo. A beautiful way to visualize this polarity is using one’s platform or influence to signal boost important issues or to unite people together under a collective goal.

Virgo Season Begins 8/22
As the Sun ingresses into Virgo, it conjoins Regulus, the royal star associated with victory, divinity fame and celebrity. Regulus shifted into Virgo in 2015, seen as a symbolic gesture toward the elevation of the feminine. Since, we have seen significant strides in female leadership on this planet.
But when I think about what Virgo season truly represents, for me it’s the back-to-school vibes. The organizational satisfaction of a fresh pencil box, the smell of a new box of crayons, the unscuffed sneakers and the new notebooks ready for a fresh start. Virgo is the mutable earth sign, corresponding with grounded innovation. Virgo season invites us to improve efficiency, to rearrange, to reorganize or to perfect something we are working on. Virgo is the sign of the artisan, the craftsperson, the skilled laborer, the brainiac and the hermit. Virgo season invites us to get to work, to analyze and to improve. Following in the footsteps of Venus, Mars and Mercury, the Sun can also help illuminate for us how far we’ve come on our path of self-cultivation.
Venus trine Saturn 8/23
A juicy air trine to adore! Both Venus in Libra and Saturn in Aquarius occupy their daytime domiciles; meanwhile, Venus holds the sign of Saturn’s exaltation, Saturn holds triplicty and Venus holds the bounds of Saturn. Talk about reciprocation! And if you don’t know what all of that means, not to worry! Essentially, Venus and Saturn are on the same page and working together to solve an issue and to get clear on how to handle something as a team. Venus in Libra offers a sympathetic intention to understand where the other person is coming from and work toward the best interests of all parties. Saturn in Aquarius offers a pragmatic desire for innovation, focus and discernment. Venus and Saturn vibe for a natural meeting of the minds, innovative discourse, clear communication and a longterm vision for mutual collaborative creation.
Take advantage of this aspect by holding space for one another and helping one another work toward a goal!
Mercury opposite Neptune 8/24
Meticulus Mercury in Virgo enters the fog of Neptune land. It’s time for the analystical eye to take the bench and soften into the river of imaginative flow. Frustrations can occur when we strive to maintain a structured, orderly approach despite the calling the release - or when things don’t go according to plan. Neptune invites us to transcend, escape or elevate. Be receptive to approaching tasks from a space of allowing, curiousity or wonder. Neptune can feel disorienting, confusing or hazy for analytical Mercury, or it can simply make us tired and unfocused for the day. Listen to your intuition and follow your artistic impulse!
Mercury then forms a trine to Pluto on 8/26, probing us with a healthy obsessive streak to uncover, to research or to heal. Rest and resourcefulness!
Venus opposite Chiron 8/27
Ah, the archetypal drama of the Star-Crossed Lovers. Haven’t we all been there? This aspect can highlight experiences of wounding in relationships, difficult lessons in love or the challenges that can arise for being so connected to someone who is ultimately so different from you. No doubt, misunderstandings are bound to arise, and it can feel startling to see our own reflections in the relationship mirror. Chiron is a teacher, offering us wisdom and integrity from the sign of independent Aries. I think about how being single builds so much capability - and yet, we shouldn’t have to do it all by ourselves. Venus holds domicile in Libra, enhancing our relationship toolbox with gifts of relating and respecting differences by highlighting common ground. We will feel this aspect build from the 25th, when The Moon preemptively links the aspect together.
Sun squares Lunar Nodes 8/28
Following in the footsteps of Mars and Mercury last week, the Sun in Virgo is presented with a choice - how can I best be of service? As Mars traversed the lunar bends of the nodes last week we witnessed two significant resignations: Governor Cuomo and Britney Spears’ father each resigned amidst public pressure. Again, the lunar nodes occupy the Gemini-Sagittarius polarity, which has severely emphasized cancel culture and mass public opinion about what is moral or just. As Mercury squared off with the lunar nodes, we were presented with a choice to either double down on our beliefs or to open our mind to a new perspective. Personally, I opened my mind to the possibility of moving to a neighborhood which I was previously opposed to. We are still in process with what to do, but new considerations were drafted.
As the Sun represents known pubic figures, celebrities, leaders and royals, I am predicting themes around a resignation or a so-called cancellation.
Mercury enters Libra 8/30
While we might be sad to see Mercury exit their Virgo domicile, we still have much to celebrate as Mercury enters Libra! Mercury thrives in Libra’s air element where they can freely converse, bounce ideas of off one another, remain curious, inquisitive, eloquent, charming, and indulge in a little devil’s advocate. The drawback is that Mercury in Libra can be completely indecisive, taking forever to reach a decision because it wants to adequately weigh everything out. Take advantage of Mercury in Libra to weigh your options, but no rush to lock anything down until you’re ready! Heads up, we will have an EXTENDED Mercury in Libra, as Mercury will station retrograde at 25° Libra on 9/27, spending a total of 2 months in the sign of the scales! Decisions, decisions, decisions!
