We’ve got a few reasons to celestially celebrate this week. Mars enters the sign of exaltation, Capricorn, and Venus stations direct! Yup! We are *this close* to the conclusion of all planetary retrogrades for a solid 12-weeks, which means we’re about to fly. The cessation of all planetary retrogrades begins next week on 2/3 when Mercury stations direct.

Midway through the messenger’s retrograde journey, Mercury consults the ultimate oracle of divine intellect: the Sun. Mercury’s embrace within the heart of the Sun can coincide with pivotal insights, clarity and key realizations.
Consider the encryption you’ve been striving to decode this Mercury retrograde. The cazimi is an opportune window to contemplate the life equation – or – simply remain receptive. Deep in an REM state during this time? Try to wake up naturally and recall your dreams. Resist funneling into an early morning scroll and allow your consciousness to gently receive the twilight insights.
Mercury in Aquarius is excellent for problem-solving, collaboration and brainstorming. Maybe the cazimi messages will arrive later in the day when you’re in conversation with another. As Mercury traverses the Sun, we arrive on the other side, often with another angle of perspective. Mars enters Capricorn, 1/24 – 3/6/22
The most exciting news of the week (IMO) is Mars’ ingress into Capricorn, where Mars holds its exaltation. For the past 6 weeks, Mars has encouraged exploration, revelry and indulgence from the freedom-loving sign of Sagittarius. If you’ve been feeling scattered and you’re craving more structure, Mars in Capricorn is here for you.
For the next 6 weeks, Mars in Capricorn offers stamina, refinement, and focus. Make the most of this transit by formulating a plan of action and sticking to it. A clear plan of action with resonant goals are what motivates the red planet. Identify your purpose. It’s time to streamline your energy in the direction of your dreams!
This grounding shift will be particularly palpable when Mercury retrogrades back into Capricorn tomorrow. Venus, Mercury and Mars will collectively reside in Capricorn until 2/14, affirming the supportive conditions we aspire to actualize for ourselves in the long-term. With Mercury and Venus wrapping up their retrogrades soon, many of these concepts may have a fresh twist. Now is a wonderful time to (re)commit to that path or practice, as you know it will be worthwhile.
Mercury re-enters Capricorn, 1/25 -2/14 (holding a conjunction with Pluto)
With fresh wind in their sails, Mercury lands in reserved Capricorn to unearth an important exchange. Locked into a perpetual conjunction with Pluto for the entirety of this period, conversation takes on a purposeful and intimate tone, potentially revealing highly classified information. It’s finally time to have “the talk.” Mercury’s conjunction to Pluto encourages honesty. It can help us dig deeper so that we get to the heart of where our deepest desires and fears arise. Talking about them helps us to have more agency over how we consciously respond, as well as reach a clearer understanding of where our loved ones are coming from.
Mercury stations direct on 2/3/22, at 24°22’ Capricorn, near the same place where Venus’ retrograde began (12/19/21) in a conjunction with Pluto – carving a candle a of deepened intimacy and beholding a situation or a partner on a more vulnerable level. Things have changed since we last had this conversation, and much has been revealed, yet the conversation is not over. With Mercury now spaceholder, perhaps its time to see something with your head rather than your heart.
Mercury’s stay in Capricorn also presents a potent period of research, obsessive reading, cathartic writing, piercing focus, discernment, sniffing out the truth, healing and intuiting. It’s also a time to be discerning with media.
Venus stations Direct, 1/29/22, 11°04’ Capricorn
As swiftly as Mercury swoops in on the exact degree where Venus’ retrograde began, Venus decides that she is finished with her downward descent.
Now is a powerful time to reflect on where you’ve had a change of heart, where you’ve adjusted boundaries or where you doubled down. You may have a fresh outlook of energetic prioritization. Energy goes where energy flows – and Venus in Capricorn wants us to be sure our expenditures are worthwhile.
Venus is officially reborn as a morning star with a glow of fierceness. Lightbringer. Stationing in an exact trine to Uranus, a new personal paradigm is reborn in steady confidence. Align with the purpose which calls your heart most and shake off the dragging elements.
As Venus retraces her steps through 3/2, we will be integrating recent revelations and reinforcing life structures around our prioritites. We are clearer on what we want, why we are choosing it and how will continue to show up for them.
With Mars now in Capricorn, Mars will pursue Venus as she slowly picks up speed, eventually catching up around Valentine’s Day. Yes, it’s hot, in a sort-of pleasure and pain kind of way… stay tuned!
