The Workers' Revolution + the Scorpio New Moon 11/4 - 11/13

@DanielleNoelArt

Galactic Greetings All!

Our celestial forecast these next ten days is compact but mighty. And between you and me, I will count my lucky stars for this editorial gift. I am currently finalizing my presentation for NCGR’s virtual symposium, Saturn vs Uranus: Bridging Tradition with Innovation, which will be hosted online from November 5th – 7th. I hope to see some more familiar faces there, among the brilliant lineup of presenters. I will also be joining a mundane astrology panel, speculating and forecasting along the upcoming astrological trends. Additionally, our final class in the Timing with Transits course is upon us. On November 13th, we will have our final meeting/class party! It’s been a spectacular 11 weeks with these students and I look forward to hearing more from them as they learn to integrate transits and profections into their practice with greater confidence!

The kitchen remodel continues, although it’s almost done! Turns out, my Virgo Mars is much better at tiling than my husband could have imagined lol! Anyway, let’s get into it!

New Moon, 11/4/21, 12°40 Scorpio, 5:15 pm ET

Combining their brilliant lights, the Sun and Moon join in the sign of the stealth Scorpion, funneling a spotlight onto Uranus, the planet of revolution. Currently, a workers’ revolution is brewing here in the United States. Burnt out, fed up and underpaid, thousands of workers are on strike while a distinctive shortage of workers continues to plight the capitalist infrastructure. And it’s not just “because of the pandemic.” No, these issues have incredibly deep roots, but have percolated to boil-over since Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008.

The Scorpio New Moon unbuckles a built-up frustration we’ve kept under wraps for stability’s sake. Mars, ruler of Scorpio, sits at 3°33’ Scorpio squares off with Saturn (the number 3 is ruled by Saturn), highlighting the blockades in the path – the very real deterrents from proceeding as usual – but also the reality that playing by THEIR rules no longer works. While both planets are in domicile, Mars is the fiercest contender. The tail of the Scorpion is preparing a to covertly deliver a venomous whiplash. But will we see it coming? We can certainly expect some surprises under this new moon – rebellions, uprisings – and not just from the workers of the world, but from the divine Mother Earth herself. The Scorpio new moon heralds the call for rebellion, blazing a new trail with persistence and passion.

On a more personal level, the Scorpio New Moon dares us to be different, but to be radically honest. The Scorpio New Moon wants us to choose with our whole heart, to value loyalty, and above all, to harness the courage to execute any necessary dramatic shifts. All or nothing, baby!

Overall, a new Moon in Scorpio invites us to plant new seeds of intention in the Scorpio sector of our chart. For a detailed forecast for your Sun + Rising signs, join me on Patreon via the Moonrise tier!

Venus enters Capricorn 11/5

Idk about you, but with Venus in Sag, the holidays came early for me this year. Lots of celebrations, lots of midnight snacks. Venus in Capricorn is ready to scale it back. Less is more. Temperance. Venus in Capricorn is a purveyor of the top shelf, the sturdiest of quality, and above all, elegance. “It better be worth my time,” she warns. Venus in Capricorn invites us to consider the long-term playbook when it comes to our emotional and financial investments.

And we may as well cozy up to Venus in Capricorn. Venus will station retrograde in Capricorn on 12/19, which means that we’ll experience 4 whole months of Venus in Capricorn – now through until March 6th, 2022. We may begin to notice themes emerge in this area of our lives relative to long-term priorities, love, relationships, or building an empire (or not, zzz). Stationing in a conjunction with Pluto, we can expect major financial themes to emerge on the world stage (hello billionaire tax and workers’ revolution). Huge opportunities to heal and clear in our personal relationships too, if we are willing to deep-dive and forge a stronger commitment to one another. January 2014 would be the last time Venus was retrograde in Capricorn, so think back to what was going on/what you were paring down in your life at that time.

Mercury enters Scorpio 11/5

After all that time in airy, communicative Libra, Mercury is ready to go within. For the next three weeks, Mercury traverses the mystical swamp of Scorpio, preferring a pensive, inward gaze. A readiness for spiritual clarity that only quietness can provide, Mercury in Scorpio says, “less talking, more perceiving.” Magnetic, psychic, and yes, acutely fixated, Mercury in Scorpio holds a piercing gaze toward the object of desire. Through 11/24, Use this time to focus, uncover, and attract.

Sun trine Neptune 11/12

For those special connections which don’t require verbosity to fill the space, the Scorpio Sun’s trine to Neptune in Pisces is your kind of vibe. Sexy, psychic, magnetic and soulful, this celestial alignment is here to open our hearts, minds and bodies to the spiritual realms. Channel this aspect for enhanced spiritual communication, deeper meditations, all forms of artistry, connection with nature, and connection with each other! The Sun’s trine to Neptune wants us to be blissful simply because we deserve it.

Mercury conjunct Mars activates the Saturn-Uranus square, 11/10 - 11/17

Mercury and Mars combine in their 3rd consecutive zodiac sign, weaving together a tale of critique and discernment (Virgo, 8/18), confrontation for the sake of peacemaking (Libra 10/10) and finally, a snakebite (Scorpio). Venom is pharmakon, an ambiguous substance with equal power to harm or heal. Of course, it requires training to wield this alchemical brew with a steady hand.

Overall, we have a combustible combination of planetary influences. Mercury and Mars crave perforated deliveries of language, raw and unrefined – but honest. The trouble is that Mercury and Mars find themselves in Scorpio, where the dangers of telling the whole bloody truth have consequences. While it may feel freeing to bear one’s soul, Scorpio understands the potency of privacy. Not everything is for everyone, and yet, some sort of energetic shift must occur. To speak the truth? Or to withhold? Which one delivers the aces? The square to Saturn advocates reserve, but also notes the limitations of how far we can go in either direction. However, the opposition to Uranus is the final say. Out with it! Ultimatums and accusations may have higher stakes, but also a higher yield.

No matter how skilled the chemist, Uranus presents volatility and unexpected bursts. Scripts may not be sufficient to contain the potent energies of the emotional soul – especially during eclipse season! Sometimes the carpet unravels a certain way for a reason. Let’s see where it takes us!
