The Challenges of Love: Venus in Pisces squares Mars in Sagittarius
Everyone thinks love and compatibility are synonymous with “ease,” and its not that simple. Love will often remove you from your comfort zone because at some point, you realize your defenses are truly working against you. Love will encourage you endure, to weather the scariest of storms and learn how to overcome obstacles as a team. Love will invite you to grow, and it’s not always easy to give up what was comfortable for what makes you better. Vulnerability is scary for so many of us, and there is a fine line between losing yourself and maintaining your integrity as you open your heart in a willingness to experience and witness the other person unconditionally.
Love can unravel us, intimidate us and also make us. Love is complicated because we are complicated! Venus and Mars are squaring off, chasing each other for the rest of the month. Can you feel the tension? In your desires and relationships? What I’m trying to get at is that tension is not always a bad thing— it can be flirty, and it envelops each person’s attention toward the other, asking “How can we work together on this?” or “why can’t I figure you out?” Mars is in Sagittarius, which can act impulsively and scatter energy in an attempt to be free, while Venus in Pisces is willing to go the extra distance for love— Forgiveness of imperfection, acknowledgment of where one falls short and choosing to love anyway.
Ultimately, Venus in Pisces can disarm the desirous archer, but not without the preemptive “battle.” Most of us have been hurt, so It’s not always easy to let the guard down, but this month brings an opportunity to access deeper layers of intimacy in our relationships via challenges presented.
