SCORPIO FULL MOON + beyond! April 25th - May 8th

In true Gemini style, we’re seeing double this week (and next). Keeping with the flow, I’m doubling up on the weekly forecast too! Venus chases Mercury through the tail end of Taurus playing tag all the way into twinning Gemini. It’s truly a treat: These aspects are not so much “double-trouble” as they are “double the fun.” But before we get to the sweeter stuff, we’ve got a compelling Scorpio Full Moon to contend with, further intensified by a Pluto station. If you didn’t catch my Taurus Season forecast with Melissa on The Energetic Principles Podcast, be sure to check it out. Let’s get into it!

Scorpio Full Moon - 4/26/21, 7°06’ Scorpio, 11:31 pm ET

Arriving amidst the plush pillow pile of Taurus season is the eerie Scorpio Full Moon, reminding us of how fleeting the beautiful moments of this precious life can be. The Scorpio Moon draws the senses inward, intensifying emotions and sensitizing our capacity to perceive the subtle energies. So much of our language is unspoken. Compounding the emotional eruption is Pluto’s annual retrograde station, drudging up closeted emotions, ghosts from the past and buried stories we thought we fully processed. Pluto invites us to dive even deeper, to peel back yet another layer we didn’t know we needed to access in order to release, confront or heal on a microcellular level. Scorpio is a sign deeply aware of what’s been lost, denied or withheld – however, it’s also immensely resilient. Despite the hurts, it’s empowering to reflect on what you have survived in spite of it all.

The Scorpio Full Moon activates the Saturn/Uranus square, providing the contrast of systemic trauma and the need for radical reform. Ruled by Mars in Cancer, the full moon nudges us to be mindful of our energy. You cannot draw from an empty well. While we may be intently focused on how our inner compass steers the path forward, it’s also important to do so in a way which honors our baseline capacity to give. The Moon and Mars are both in their fall and are in mutual reception. This aspect reminds me of two friends commiserating and cheering each other up in the process. Definitely call on your closest comrades this weekend for those deep, moving convos.

Mercury + Venus sextile Neptune (4/29 + 5/2)

These twinning sextiles to Neptune remind us that we are never alone. Heightening empathy, and creativity, this is a reminder that magic is readily accessible to us when we are open. The symbolic, subjective world reaches out to us, heightening intuition, dreams and visualization practices. These aspects represent the ray of sunshine through the storm clouds after our Scorpio Full Moon, perhaps arriving in the form of a supportive embrace, an uplifting interaction or synchronistic connection.

Sun conjoins Uranus, square Saturn (4/30-5/3)

The Sun ignites the Saturn/Uranus square from 4/30-5/3, bringing further illumination to the issues spotlighted by the full moon. There is more to the story now, and perhaps the ball is in the court of leadership on some level. The evolutionary purpose of the Saturn-Uranus square is to facilitate the shattering of glass ceilings, systemic oppression and to agitate the status quo to make room for renovations and upgrades to the evolving public. Look at where Saturn and Uranus are tranisitng your chart for more details on the renovations going down in your personal life.

Mercury + Venus trine Pluto (5/2 +5/6)

Here’s some intensity, but it’s desired. Intimate conversations grounded in a mutual desire to reach an understanding together. Thorough investigation or inquiry can discovery alchemical gold. Venus in Taurus trine Pluto offers a profoundly sensual connection. Intimacy is accentuated with a tantric psychic connection, making way for the healing potency of passion and co-creation.

Mercury in Taurus squares Jupiter, then enters Gemini (5/3)

Opinionated and outspoken with a classic Taurean lead-foot stance on an issue, perhaps there is a theme issue with overdoing, oversharing or overthinking something. While Taurus is usually more pragmatic, this could also represent being overly confident about something. However, immediately after we’ve bitten off more than we can chew, Mercury changes their tune when they ingress into airy, whimsical Gemini. A strong opinion can be shifted into becoming more curious. What remains is the sense that there’s too much to focus on.  While Mercury is in domicile in Gemini, our focus becomes less streamlined and more dispersed. This transit will invite us to consider new information and POV’s. Mercury will stay in Gemini for an extended period, stationing retrograde on May 29th, remaining in Gemini through July 11th.

Venus in Taurus squares Jupiter, then enters Gemini (5/8)

Venus has been at home in Taurus – encouraging us to indulge our senses, treat ourselves and slow down enough to be present with the delicious notes in live. Venus at 29° Taurus will make us feel like we need to go all out one last time. In an indulgent square to Jupiter, Venus is in the mood for macaroons, cupcakes and champagne. Go all out today and satisfy that insatiable craving for sweetness in life. The world is your bakery today. Maybe it’s an Etsy spree, an expensive serum, or one too many cocktails. Def go the distance in your primping routine today. As Venus enters Gemini, we’ll take on a much breezier approach to style, graze on our food and become social butterflies again. Venus in Gemini marks the time to plan all those coffee dates you didn’t fulfill during Aries season. Venus in Gemini is playful, flirty, and loves to foster brief yet stimulating connections - like how a bee travels from flower to flower.
