Mars enters Libra 9/14
Mars in Libra is a blade of perfumery, pleasantly slicing the air within a dimly lit room. Its affect alerts our senses, bringing us back in the present moment. Conscientious and clever, Mars in Libra is a cautious warrior. We think before we act, tallying the potential outcomes of impulse. While Mars is in Libra, we all get to work on our mindfulness.
Mars in Libra is motivated by fairness and justness – but it can also correspond with hesitation – a fear of rocking the boat. Many times when we arrive at a crossroads in our lives, we might be torn between what makes someone else happy and what ultimately satisfies our own thirst. Mars in Libra is the master of bargaining. Isn’t there a way we can all walk away winners?
While Mars is in Libra through 10/31, we will be more apt to choose our battles wisely. And as the saying goes, “if you can’t say anything nice, then don’t say anything at all.” Maybe we’re all just tired of being upset right now. We are all well aware of the state of matters and yet, while Mars is in Libra, we may try on a new social veneer which protects the sweetness of dialogue from the sour of the outside world.
Most interestingly, both Mars and Venus now occupy the signs of their detriment and find themselves in a mutual reception. TBH it’s not an official MR, as there is no aspect between them, however the Moon will periodically link them through October 7th while Venus is in Scorpio. I see this aspect proving difficult in some situations and creatively resourceful in others. On one hand, I believe it reflects being out of our comfort zones again as we navigate our social lives during a pandemic as we head into the Fall. On the other hand, this is an opportunity to love more fiercely (Venus in Scorpio) and to lean into what makes both people feel comfortable (Mars in Libra). Everyone is out of their comfort zone right now. No one is handing us a rulebook; it’s up to us to create our own. While Mars is in Libra, communication is our most valuable tool – and vauling each other’s needs as much as we value our own.

Sun trine Pluto 9/16
The cultivated Virgo Sun casts a radiant beam of light down to Pluto, the keeper of shadows. It’s time to acknowledge how far you’ve come. You have persevered; you’ve honed your craft. Your successes are well-deserved. Notice that the hardships of the past have provided you with a determined grit – lining your pocket with wisdoms which have pulled through for you in ways you never expected. There may be a golden reveal of humble confidence for you to harness today.
Venus square Saturn 9/16
Relationships thrive when expectations are clearly defined.
The Venus-Saturn square indicates a period in which our relationships are ready to level-up. The hurdles have succinctly presented themselves, however, we may feel some resistance to talking about it. Magnetic Venus in Scorpio would rather find more creative ways to insinuate what we want. Venus in Scorpio craves intimacy, tantric enmeshment and overall closeness. Meanwhile, Saturn in Aquarius prefers to be alone with their deepest thoughts and craves distance. If this dynamic sounds familiar, the Venus-Saturn square presents a juncture in which this dynamic may come to a head. While Venus in Scorpio wants it all, Saturn in Aquarius says, “hey, this is what I can offer, is that cool?” While this aspect may create some initial tension, working through it can be incredibly constructive and potentially enduring. If you are in a situationship, this is a good time to talk about defining it.
Another angle? Venus is now activating the Saturn-Uranus square. Check out my video for more details!
Full Moon 28°13’ Pisces, 9/20
The more we count our blessings, the more blessings we invite.
Emerging from a narrowed focus on the treebark, the Pisces Full Moon draws our focus inward and upward into the expansiveness of the soul. Big picture, we are all spiritual beings having a human experience. Virgo season has focused our gaze toward projects, our craft, our busy human lives. But after fixating upon our needle for so long, it’s easy to forget the souls longing which originally aligned us with our task in the first place.
The Pisces full moon will conjure the waters forth, swelling our heart chakras with empathy and compassion for the totality of the journey we are on. The Virgo-Pisces polarity highlights the massive weight of global issues – each of which is far to heavy to carry on our own two shoulders. The Full Moon is ruled by Jupiter in Aquarius, reminding us that we are not alone in our anxieties about what’s next. The Pisces Full Moon is a time of gratitude, counting our blessings and trusting the process – all while remaining committed to our efforts. Virgo season shows us that the little things do indeed add up.
The Full Moon conjoins Neptune, reminding us to take the time to rest after a busy Virgo Season. Feeling tired? Worn out? Take a step back wherever possible. Restore your creative, emotional and spiritual reservoir. Mercury forms a supportive trine to Jupiter offering incoming brilliance when we let go and allow the creative mind space to breathe. Integrate. Flow. Intuit.
Mercury trine Jupiter, 9/20
Overall, this is a super inquisitive, brainy aspect focused on learning, expanding our knowledge, deepening our communication skills and entertaining other points of view as we share stories and learn from one another. Fantastic for ingesting elevating expansive or inspirational content, Mercury’s trine to Jupiter invites a larger lens.
We will be working closely with this trine throughout Mercury’s Libra retrograde, reconfiguring on 10/3 and 11/1. Interestingly, both Mercury and Jupiter will station direct on 10/18, both radiating their arechetypal influence into the collective that week. To add another potent layer, Mercury and Jupiter are also rulers of the transiting nodes of fate in the Gemini/Sagittarius polarity – a source of contention in the world as data and belief go head-to-head. Wondering if this trine may offer some sort of supportive resolve as Mercury in Libra drudges up new illuminating research.
