Wild Venus Things + a Sag Full Moon! (6/10 - 6/18/2022)
Galactic Greetings,
Last week I had the pleasure of joining Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock on The Astrology Podcast for June’s forecast episode. Def tune in on YouTube or Spotify to get the full scoop on June!
If I could just gush here for a moment: it was an absolute dream come true to share air space with these brilliant astrologers. I’ve been listening to Chris’ podcast for a decade now, and continue to be impressed with his caliber of astrological content. He covers the full spectrum of accessible astrology and complex niche astrology. Chris is such a gift to the astrological community – both in his significant role in reviving Hellenistic astrology in the mainstream, but also for compiling and preserving an impressive astrological library of podcast episodes. Check out our episode, and all the other goodies!
Venus gets all the action this week, alongside a special Full Moon in Sag!
Special announcements at the end, but for now,
Let’s get into it.
Astrology Watch:
Venus conjunct Uranus, 6/11
Mercury re-enters Gemini, 6/13
Full Moon in Sagittarius, 6/14
Venus conjoins north node, 6/16
Venus square Saturn, 6/18
Venus conjunct Uranus, 6/11
Our love and relationship planet, Venus, is feeling electric this week and ready to stir the pot of the social strata. Venus’ union with Uranus inspires us to climb an abandoned bridge, check out a new venue, DM your crush, have a foursome, and take some risks.
If you’re in a longterm relationship with kids like I am, this is weekend to get a babysitter and treat yourself to a wild night out on the town. The same-old will feel loathsome and you may feel stir-crazy if you don’t bust a move.
Rebel against the routine.
If a situation has grown stagnant or limiting, Venus’ alignment with independent Uranus will inspire us push the limits. A week from now, Venus returns to Saturn to redefine the commitment, so if you’re feeling stuck, give the line some slack to explore new possibilities; next week you’ll have more clarity on the longer term.
Venus also rules finances. Between her rondevous with Uranus and the north node, we can expect this week offer financial tumultuousness. We might expect to see significant swings across markets, skyrocketing values and crashing them back down. In the sign of Taurus, it’s a bull market indeed. It’s a period where folks will feel riskier with their investments, but its tricky because this combo warns to expect the unexpected!
Mercury re-enters Gemini, 6/13
At last. Mercury returns to Gemini, moving direct for the next three weeks. Indeed, Mercury began their retrograde in Gemini -newly inspired with a myriad of new angles, Mercury backpaddled into Taurus to find their footing, tend to the most pressing issues and methodically tackle one peg at a time. Now that we’ve had a moment to take a few steps back, Mercury rekindles a curious eye toward the canvas.
Whimsical and witty, Mercury in Gemini wields the wordsmith magic. As Mercury is at home in Gemini, the gifts of gab, brilliance and quicksilver inventiveness are more accessible to us. While it may be more challenging to focus on one distinctive project, this is an excellent transit for research, education, and discovery. Play, experiment, and inquire, but be warned! Mercury in Gemini is known to make mischief.
Keep an open mind.
While Mercury is in Gemini, we can all learn something new. The enigma of the multifaceted human mind across time and space is too damn fascinating to die on a hill.
Full Moon in Sagittarius, 23°25’ Sagittarius, 6/14/22
The Sagittarius full moon is special for two reasons:
1) It’s the first lunation in Sagittarius since 2019 that is not an eclipse. This should offer some valuable perspective to this area of your chart/life. Much has changed and shifted here over the years – too quickly to fully process while you’re in it.
2) It’s the first lunation ruled by Jupiter in Aries, imbibing us with a can-do confidence! As a full moon illuminates matters to fullness, the Sagittarius full moon will spotlight leading themes of the year-long Jupiter in Aries transit. So far in the US, Jupiter in Aries is highlighting the topics of weaponry and abortion rights (sovereignty). Indeed, it’s a very opinionated energy.
Additionally, the Full Moon squares Neptune in Pisces, creating a vortex of upliftment and encouragement or divine disappointment. Beware that even though we may not have all the facts, the full moon will balloon the vision. The full moon is here to inspire us to move forward in a new direction. While the hype may run away with us a bit, a grounding contribution from Saturn helps us find our footing.
Like the archer taking aim toward its target, this full moon has an energy of “why not go for it!?” The time is now to chase the dream.
Amidst curious, inquisitive Gemini season, the Sag full moon inspires us to seek an immersive adventure toward understanding.
Venus conjoins the north node of destiny, 6/16
Known as the dragon’s head, the north nodes tends toward extremes and insatiability. Significator of finances and relationships, Venus enters a realm of wild unpredictability, and potentially fated scenarios. Indeed, the nodes are portals of divine intervention.
This alignment may inspire us to:
-contemplate how far we are willing to go for love
-elevate our standards
-drop $4000 on the damn couch (bc why not enjoy life now when we’ll never be able to retire?). It’s a rogue treat-yourself kind of transit.
I suspect we will see gas prices reach an all-time high (and crash). We can expect more price gouging – both due to a lack of supply, but also due to opportunism and greed. We’re all waiting with bated breath for something to happen with the housing market and inflation. We might see it reach a really high point here, but thanks to an applying square to Saturn, we will likely see attempts to regulate the extremes.
Venus in Taurus squares Saturn in Aquarius, 6/18
After a week of wild indulgence and rebellion on the love, beauty and financial front, Saturn strives to regain a new sense of order.
While Venus in Taurus wants the luxurious things in life, Saturn in Aquarius reminds us that prioritization is necessary – and that sometimes we have to put the work in to get there. Indeed, this sort of revelation can be constructive, but it’s not always the news we want to hear!
Perhaps you made some igniting discoveries of what brings you joy or what makes you feel beautiful. Saturn is here to reinforce the framework to ensure that we can perpetuate these rituals – as long as it is sustainable.
This celestial combo is excellent for defining the relationship (DTR), leveling on a plan, clarifying expectations and making feelings known. It’s always refreshing to get on the same page with someone else, but it can also sometimes challenge us to get there. Ideally, Venus’ square to Saturn will offer clarity on the course.
