Galactic Greetings!

As you can see, we have such an incredibly wild terrain ahead. I didn’t have the space to finetune my writings this week, but I had to get it out to the press anyway. Enjoy the informality, and as always, you can always get the visual scoop on YouTube!

Sun + Venus trine Mars, 10/17 + 10/18

Sun + Venus square Pluto, 10/19

The Sun and Venus travel hand in hand through the final degrees of Libra and the primary degrees of Scorpio. This stretch of the zodiac is known as The via combusta, or the path of fire – a portion of the zodiac which historically made astrologers gasp. Being that each luminary finds itself in poor designation in Libra and Scorpio, ancient astrologers saw this bridge as grim and not-conducive to life. Treacherous indeed.

It might be a nice time to do a burning ritual. The Sun in Libra forms a flowing trine with severing Mars. Tis the season to let go. Let it be on your own terms this time. The Sun’s trine to Mars indicates a turning point is near, and gives us the go-ahead to take action. Go ahead and sharpen your swords, the time is now to make an important move before Mars goes retrograde on 10/30.

Venus’ trine to Mars is indeed a lovely one. I tracked the celestial movements of Venus and Mars through 2020 – and wouldn’t you know it? Only one harmonious aspect in September. Highly unusual, and yet highly descriptive of our social and romantic lives that year. Venus in her Libra domicile gives us a major green light to make a bold (though stealth) move in our relationships. Mars and Venus are our relationship planets; this week, it’s a particularly delightful dynamic between them. Let this be a time of bonding via playfulness, flowing conversation, reciprocation, discovery, and flirtatious chemistry.

Take advantage of the smooth vibes now before the eclipses shake everything up next week.

Venus Cazimi in Libra and Scorpio, 10/22

Venus enters the heart of the Sun in her superior cazimi at 29° Libra and concludes the cazimi at 2° Scorpio. Wowza. Complex indeed. While astrologers prefer Venus in Libra, as it’s more conducive to harmony, artistry and creating beauty in the world, the last degree of any sign stresses a sense of urgency. It’s as if we have to act quickly in order to establish balance or peace within an important relationship. It’s as if we don’t kiss the prince before midnight, we will turn into a pumpkin forever. Something like that. Venus in Libra is gifted at acknowledgment, generous with the olive branch as a strategic move.

At the same time, Venus’ cazimi in Libra offers us the best Libra can offer – strategy yes, but also a genuine desire to affect a win-win. Libra understands that there is a way for everyone to be happy.

We might see a sense of urgency here: something needs to happen for us to have peace.

Venus and the Sun enter Scorpio together, the sign of Venus’ detriment, distilling a fierce commitment. Venus in Scorpio is challenged, due to a tendency towards jealousy, possessiveness, however, Venus in Scorpio vows a fierce loyalty which is thoroughly unmatched. Venus in Scorpio would kill for those they love – and potentially for their virtues.

Venus represents reproductive rights of women and those with uteruses. Recalling the Aries Ingress which featured a besieged Venus in the 9H of the United States Ingress chart, as well as the prior eclipse season which leaked the Supreme Courts intentions to abolish Roe, Venus’ cazimi story could be highly telling of what’s happening here in our upcoming election.

The people of Iran continue to protest a violent and extremist government also threatening the sovereignty of women, as well as their lives. The Aries Ingress for Iran featured the Venus besiegement in the 5th house of sexuality, and IMO here, self-expression. Women are being killed for wearing their hair the way they desire.

I’m watching this complex Venus cazimi closely in how it might reflect these life-threatening policies in both America and Iran. Especially as the eclipse on 10/25 then eclipses the Venus-cazimi, as if to extinguish its potency. I am extremely worried about this and urge those of you who care about the lives of women and those with uteruses to vote accordingly.

Saturn Stations Direct, 10/23

Saturn’s station offers a major reality check. Stationing direct at 18°35’ Aquarius in a near-perfect square to Uranus, the final battle-cry for systemic revolution roars. The Saturn-Uranus square has defined the 2020-2021 innovation era. Representative of a woke work force, inflation, invention, and the alteration of daily life as we know it, the Saturn-Uranus square created a fertile ground for complete and total overhaul of the way we live our lives. In a post(?) pandemic world, we live in greater alignment with our values, while the corporate greed further pushed the existentialism of “late-stage-capitalism.” We know the system is dying. We know it cannot support itself. The Saturn-Uranus square invites innovation by necessity.

Saturn’s station not only emphasizes this critical urgency of revolution, but it will also show up on a personal level. If you have planets at 18° of the fixed signs, I guarantee you are feeling this pressure to change harder than anyone else. Only 2 months ago did Uranus station at 18° Taurus, and there it still sits. Fixed signs, this is your chance to shift gears. Saturn offers each of us a reality check, a humbling though stark clarity. Look at your Aquarius house for more details, as this is Saturn’s final sprint through your Aquarius house. The journey concludes on March 7th when Saturn enters Pisces. What else do you need to do to innovate or support yourself in this area of life before the Saturn-in-Aquarius lesson ends?

Partial Eclipse in Scorpio, 10/25

While we’ve felt the eerie energy brewing for a few days or weeks now, we officially enter the eclipse portal under this first of two eclipses. This first partial eclipse occurs at 2°00’ Scorpio. It’s ruled by a confused (and stationary) Mars in Gemini and conjoins an already damaged Venus in Scorpio. Not a good omen at all. Here in the United States, our upcoming Primary election will be very telling – occurring on the same day, 11/8, as the following lunar eclipse opposite wildcard Uranus. A total nail-biter, indeed.

The partial eclipse path falls over Russia and Ukraine, which foretells pivotal developments within the international conflict. The eclipse degree is prominent in both the charts of the leaders and the nations (see my YouTube video for more). Ruled by a stationary Mars, I wonder who will be forced to retreat.

For us personally, you want to look and see where you have the Taurus-Scorpio axis in your chart. This is the area getting lit up and catalyzed in 2022 and 2023. We can expect major changes and developments in these areas. For help delineating how these eclipses show up in your chart, connect with me (or another trusted astrologer) for your 1:1 consultation.

The eclipses in Scorpio-Taurus highlight themes of sexuality, the earth’s resources, the availability of food, energy, climate change and the extreme fluctuations within the financial sector. What this eclipse could mean for finances, as it conjoins Venus, could be a very big deal. I’m expecting some sort of crash or portending of one, as the nodes bring extremes, and Venus is in bad shape on the south node.

Mercury trine Mars, 10/26

Mercury square Pluto, 10/27

Mercury’s square with Pluto harkens big reveals. In a trine with stationary Mars, we get news of a reversal, a retreat. Expect more information leaks (as we are in eclipse season) right on brand. Mercury’s trine to Mars and square to Pluto spells loose lips that cannot keep a secret. Or can’t keep one’s true feelings to themselves. This is a very revealing and outspoken energy. Mercury in Libra is highly dignified, however, and this helps our delivery, but the pipes are greased, and the words are sliding.

Jupiter re-enters Pisces, 10/28

Jupiter in Pisces spells abundance, gratitude, heart-opening. We are returning to this aspect which defined the spring of 2022 – the time when many of us felt we got our social lives back. It also coincided with spikes in covid… so we might expect another holiday wave brewing at this time. Jupiter in Pisces yearns for connection, meaning, significance and novelty. We get to enjoy this final dose of Jupiter in Pisces through 12/20/22. Soak it up!

Returning to Pisces during a tumultuous eclipse season, I worry that this shift could coincide with some sort of disaster which would necessitate empathy and heart-opening, and yet, it couldn’t be more timely at this time in human history.

Look to Jupiter in Pisces for heart-opening, spiritualizing, compassion, empathy, artistic, unity, love, divine love, romantic love, eternal belonging… and read more about it HERE!

Mars stations Retrograde, 10/30

We’ve been anticipating Mars’ retrograde station for months now and have discussed Mars’ square with Neptune at large. From now until 1/12/23, the planet of confidence and primal initiative is facing a lot of big questions about direction, passion and desire. Read more - and get your Mars retrograde horoscope here!
