Know Your Lane: The Leo New Moon 8/8 + beyond!

Fortunately, I am now on the mend from a terrible summer cold, which flattened me and my household for the past week. Also fortunately, it wasn’t covid or a covid variant. And of course, the summer colds seem to be raging alongside delta as Jupiter returns to Aquarius. Just the real life reminder I needed that while I am vaccinated, my daughter is not and that I need to do everything I can to protect her from this again. Hopefully once Jupiter returns to Pisces, the world can open with confidence again and we can resume introducing Leela to the world.
It’s crazy how on point astrology is - and yet, it’s not crazy because we know it works! As I am still regaining my strength, I will be keeping the forecast short this week, and focusing most of my attention toward the New Moon - and the extended forecast I offer for Patrons. This New Moon is particularly auspicious, holding space in the Sun’s own domicile, Leo, but bookended between two Aquarius Full Moons. The vivaciouos Leo New Moon arrives between two Aquarius Full Moons, reminding us the importance of radiating our unique gifts and talents into the world – and yet, it’s important to consider the context. How influenced are we by the collective backdrop of culture, by the demands of “creating content,” by the mediums we use to convey our various talents, and yes, our essence. Social media offers space for only a fraction of our totality, and yet, when optimally harnessed it can be used to project the most beautiful vectors of our spirit. I specifically point to social media, as it is a dominating cultural medium of our time. While the context of an era provides an important shape to create within, I ask you, what would you do to express yourself differently beyond the confines of this reality? It’s unfair to put limits on your own creativity.
And yet, we have a playful, wild-heart Leo New Moon ice-cream-sandwiched between two Saturn-ruled Aquarius Full Moons, emphasizing the need to contextualize our unique spark within the broader whole. Falling within the bounds of Saturn, the new moon suggests that this is not the time for bold impulsiveness, but instead a controlled release and dramatic restraint. It’s all about the buildup, my friends.
We received a cosmic nudge that Shining is a Necessity. We may sense a personal duty to bring our gifts to the fore to receive the opportunity and accolades we desire to grow. Leo season is all about fueling our confidence tank and Saturn is all about walking the walk. We may tap an innate responsibility to amplify our spiritual liveliness and to participate somewhere. Don’t wait for tomorrow. Saturn reminds us that the time is now to be more affectionate, loving, generous and confident. And yet, some things are worth the wait. Saturn invites consistency, to continue to show up for your gifts or the quality of radiance you desire to emanate. Self-development is indeed a process. Saturn also offers a dose of humility while we shine. KNOW YOUR LANE!
