The Aries Full Moon + the week of October 11th - 21st

Galactic Greetings,

The Mercury retrograde saga of my kitchen remodel continues. So far, it’s going well, but it’s totally a team effort around here. Thus, I’m going to keep this week’s forecast concise. Let’s get into it!

Venus sextile Saturn, 10/13/21

Live and let live.

After the intensity of last week’s clashes and reveals, Venus in Sagittarius teams up with Saturn in Aquarius to help us rebuild. With a breezier attitude from Venus in Sagittarius, we recognize that life is a ride, so we may as well enjoy it to the maximum. We are ready to detach from energy-sucking dramas for the sake of our own joy. While Pluto urges us to gain control, Venus in Sag reminds us that not everything is within our control (nor should it be).

Venus’ sextile to Saturn is here to mend some of the wreckage from last week, shake off the aftershocks and reinforce the new agreements. With Saturn in Aquarius, moving forward is the aim!

Sun trine Jupiter, 10/15/21

The Sun in Libra forms another one of those gorgeous air trines with Jupiter in Aquarius, bestowing us with gifts of

·       Encouragement and positivity

·       Finding the silver linings

·       Generous reinforcement

·       Gratitude, recognition of abundance,

·       Justice, fairness, the resolve of a dispute

·       Hope, generosity, optimism

Mercury sextile Venus, 10/16

Sugar on my tongue

As Mercury slows down to station direct in just two days, Mercury links up with Venus in Sagittarius for a spoonful of sugar. This is quite an interesting dynamic because Mercury occupies Libra, Venus’s sign of rulership while Venus travels through Sagittarius, the sign of Mercury’s detriment. I’m still meditating on this exchange, but nonetheless, we can expect:

·       Kind exchanges, complements, words of encouragement, hyping each other up

·       Music, singing, or the arts as inspiration

·       Singing ones praises

·       Playfulness

·       Wild creativity

Sun square Pluto, 10/17

Jupiter Stations Direct, 22°20’ Aquarius, 10/17 + 10/18  (1:30 am ET)

Standing still against the starry backdrop, the glorious light that is Jupiter commands our attention. Jupiter’s pervasive sense of optimism, zeal and a lust for “more, more, more,” will reverberate into the collective consciousness this week.

Indeed, Jupiter’s retrograde is over, but most celebratory is that Jupiter will zoom forward, returning to their home sign of Pisces on 12/28. Just in time for the ball to drop! You might recall Jupiter’s recent visit to Pisces (5/15 – 7/27) where we experienced a temporary reprieve from the panorama, bookending the lift of the mask mandate in the US and the reimplementation thereof. As Jupiter in Pisces symbolizes openness, connection, the search for meaning and spiritual connection, we can all get excited about the propensity of the horizon. (Read more about Jupiter in Pisces here!)

While Jupiter has been in Aquarius we have seen significant scientific breakthroughs, and while many might be reluctant to admit, the silver linings of social distancing. When Jupiter first entered Aquarius on 12/21/20, vaccine rollout began. As Jupiter returned to Aquarius in July, we heard murmurs about the booster vaccine and the vaccine trials for children under the age of 12. My bet is that the vaccine will be approved for young children before the end of the year.

My best advice for this last Jupiter Station? Try not to overdo it. It will be far too easy to pile too much of a good thing on our plate this week as Jupiter stations in an eager, agreeable trine to Mars in Libra. This air trine wants to socialize, connect and collaborate, so if you’re not careful, that calendar could fill up far too quickly!

Mercury stations direct at 10°07’ Libra on 10/18, 11:17 am ET

Mercury retrograde is OVER, but we are not quite out of the woods. The trickster has one last stunt to perform as technology goes haywire and detours lead to a string of red lights. As the energy of a planet intensifies at the station, we’ll still want to watch out for those typical Mercury retrograde snags for another couple of days.

Stationing in an opposition to the Divine Outcast, Chiron, Mercury’s message emphasizes that of the wise healer, who has traversed the ups and downs of their own healing journey. We first encountered this opposition on September 8th as Mercury entered their shadow. This aspect can support healing, forgiveness, retribution, seeing both sides of the story, rewriting your own story, honoring how far you’ve come, realizing how much wisdom you’ve accrued despite the pitfalls, and realizing that we all have something to teach.

Excerpt from 9/8/21:

“Mercury in Libra strives to see both sides of every story, adequately weighing the pros and cons. Simultaneously Mercury in Libra is ultra-conscientious of how language affects others. We are working on our communication skills in a big way this time around – the art of negotiation, cooperation and civil problem-solving. And yet, Chiron reminds us that our methods are not going to look like everyone else’s. And that what’s triggering for me may not be triggering for you. How can we learn to hold space respectfully for the diversity of experiences within the same realm? Chiron reminds us that we are human, and that we are all works in progress.”

Aries Full Moon, 10/20/21, 27°26’ Aries, 10:56 am ET

Emanating from the piercing heat of the Libra New Moon, the Aries Full Moon presents an opportunity to release the bottled-up emotions of quiet rage – unexpressed anger which has been habitually forced down for the sake of “being nice.” For saving face. For preventing others from looking bad. Or from dealing with the shrapnel of conflict.

The Aries Full Moon answers to Mars in Libra, who now applies to an uprooting square with Pluto. The energy needs to move somewhere else. We cannot hold it in anymore. As the Full Moons call the waters forth, this Aries Full Moon boils blood to the surface and entices the drip of adrenaline. It’s true, we’ve had a lot of Pluto on the menu lately, so these arising feelings are definitely not strangers. While you may have been focused on keeping it together as a means for survival, realize that you are allowed to be angry, undone and enraged about the injustices of the past and present. Mars additionally forms a trine to Jupiter, which certainly lends a tendency to overdo, but can also maximize the expression of rage – which might be due to the realization of how many excuses we’ve been making for others our whole lives.

PostWook

The luminaries double up on Pluto for a daunting reveal. The secrets have been emerging throughout Mercury’s retrograde and they will continue to do so until 11/3 when Mercury squares Pluto for the third and final time. The Aries Full Moon illuminates these storylines, as well as our personal power, our victories and the internal workings of our psychological processes.

The Full Moon in Aries arrives during Libra season, the time of year which focuses on harmonization, cultivating balance and being mindful of how we show up in relationship dynamics. The Aries Full Moon is here to -light us up- and remind us of the sovereign fire we each possess. It’s that dynamic spark within each of us which co-creates the energy of the relationship. Do not “tone it down for others,” because relationships come to life when each one of us brings our fullness to the table. Turn it up! The Aries Full Moon reminds us to never compromise authenticity for the sake of the whole.
