Starry Salutations!

One interpretation of the ongoing Saturn-Uranus square is that the structures that uphold and organize our lives can suddenly change. I did not see this major shift coming so soon, but it did, and I’ve got big news!! If you didn’t see it on my instagram page, I recently gave notice at my part time gig and as of May 18th, I will be a full time astrologer! This has been a dream in the making for the past 9 years. For the past 9 years, I’ve wrote extensive blog posts, published a book, wrote dozens of articles, posted hundreds if not thousands of astrology forecasts, taught classes, studied with other astrologers, passed certification exams, created videos and I’ve consulted with hundreds of clients - all while dedicating 30+ hours a week to another job! Now that I have a daughter, that juggle has grown completely unsustainable for our family. We realized that there’s no better time than now to make the leap! So beginning on May 18th, you’ll be able to book your reading with me and avoid a lengthly waiting list (for now anyway)!

That Scorpio Full Moon on 4/26 activated the Saturn-Uranus square and illuminated both hurdles and ground-breaking solutions for our family. Did you experience anything similar? Mercury conjunct the north node, 5/10

On May 10th, Mercury, lord of messages, media and trickery aligns with the north node of destiny. Mercury is especially powerful in this placement. Comfortable in their sign of domicile, Mercury possesses total range of motion here - and - in alignment with the north node, a place of increase, this potent alignment could deliver pertinent information to your doorstep. It’s a fantastic placement for sending important emails, voicing announcements or sharing on social media. This is a time where we want to pay special attention to big stories developing in the news. We are nearing eclipse season, so we can expect the drama to intensify on the world stage. Bearing this in mind, maintain a bit of caution. For multifaceted Mercury, it’s all about how words are woven and how stories are framed. We often forget that every story has at least two sides.

Taurus New Moon, 21°17’ Taurus, 5/11/2021

Finally, a benevolent new moon for us to work with! We haven’t had too many of these lately (gestures broadly at the world). Overall, this new moon invites us to redefine our relationship with stability. Our needs reflect our reality— which is constantly in flux. Answering to Venus in Gemini, it’s time to stretch our legs a bit, get curious and try on some new plush pillows for size. In a supportive, imaginative sextile from Neptune, dare to dream vividly. Your creative visualization can lead to very real possibilities here. It’s an opportunity to ground your vision of what’s possible. We call in a renewed sense of ease and stability to this sector of our lives. Wherever we have Taurus in our chart denotes areas that are inherently more solid and more difficult to move. This lunation invites us to soften and open up to possibility, all while creating a new structural update. Uranus is only a third of the way through our Taurus house, so we’ll be renovating for years to come. This update, however, brings ease, flow, brilliance and a touch of magic!

Mercury Trine Saturn

You’ll def want to take advantage of this juicy lil trine! Both Mercury and Saturn occupy the signs of the domicile, which makes them particularly comfy and strong (Gemini and Aquarius, respectively). Together, Mercury and Saturn lord over the air element? Why? Because with their forces combined, we get brilliant assets like focus, concentration, discernment and streamlined brainstorming. Mercury in Gemini is the free-write where we get all of our ideas out on paper. Saturn in Aquarius organizes those thoughts into a persuasive 5-paragraph essay and voila! You’ve made your point.
